Мангу "Акира" (Akira), значительно повлиявшую на популяризацию японской культуры на Западе, экранизирует режиссёр "Тор: Рагнарёк" и "Реальных упырей" Тайка Вайтити.Фильм выйдет на экраны через два года — 21 мая 2021 года. Уже была новость, что
Warner Bros будет снимать Акиру, но теперь мы знаем героя, который будет экранизировать шедевр, в лицо.
P.S. Человек, до этого снимающий комедии, взялся за культовую классику, выйдет ли из этого балаган или что-то сносное, время покажет. Но на кой черт экранизировать этот шедевр - ума не приложу.
P.S.S Есть и хорошая новость: Во время конвента Anime Expo в Лос-Анджелесе создатель "Акиры" Кацухиро Отомо объявил, что работает над многосерийным продолжением своего самого знаменитого произведения. Студия Sunrise отвечает за производство проекта, но в остальном какие-либо подробности сериала «Акира» отсутствуют.
